METHOD AND KIT FOR SELECTING FUNGUS BODY OF MUSHROOM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and correctly discriminating a good fungus body and a defective fungus body without requiring a high technology for visual judgement in artificial cultivation of mushrooms.

SOLUTION: The method for selecting a fungus body of mushrooms discriminates the difference among the mushroom varieties by employing the expression amount of at least one mushroom gene and/or the expression pattern of the mushroom gene as a measure. For example, a good fungus body and a defective fungus body are discriminated from each other by comparing the gene expression amount and/or the gene expression pattern obtained from the results of microarray analysis and quantitative real-time PCR.
