<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle charging system which takes more appropriate safety measures for unintentional vehicle movements. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle charging system 1 according to this invention includes vehicle movement detection means 2 detecting vehicle movements, power supply means 3a supplying electric power to the vehicle movement detection means 2, charging means 5a charging an accumulator battery 4 of a vehicle, and charge start detection means 3c detecting that charging the accumulator battery 4 of the vehicle is started.
