<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna which is realized with a small area while radiation efficiency is assured, and to provide a portable radio device equipped with the antenna. <P>SOLUTION: The antenna includes, on a substrate, an inductor part which is formed within a plane as a pattern of conductor, and a capacitor part which comprises, as a main part, a pair of electrodes provided to face each other on the surface of a dielectric body constituting a rectangular solid in which two surfaces are parallel to the plane, to constitute a resonance circuit with the inductor part. The pair of electrodes are provided on one surface among four surfaces of the rectangular solid forming a right angle with the plane. The one surface means such surface, among four surfaces, as the area becomes maximum, which is surrounded with the inductor part, one electrode to which one end of the inductor part is connected, the other electrode, and the other end of the inductor part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
