<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strobe device capable of improving heat releasing property by highly efficiently diffusing heat from the periphery of a light-emitting element and accelerating uniformization of the heat of the whole, thus reducing thermal adverse effect on the light-emitting element and electronic components. <P>SOLUTION: A strobe device 3 includes: an LED chip (a light-emitting element) 4 for emitting strobe light; a reflector 12 disposed to enclose the outer periphery of the LED chip 4 and reflecting the strobe light from the LED chip 4 towards an illumination object; and a lens 13 covering a front opening of the reflector 12. This strobe device further includes a space between the LED chip 4 and the lens 13 to form a plurality of heat releasing fins 12a at the inside face of the reflector 12.
