<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric discharge machine that widely has anti-rust effect over the entire workpiece, in a work tank filled with water as a working fluid. <P>SOLUTION: The electric discharge machine has the work tank for storing the working fluid and a work base for holding the workpiece to be machined in the work tank, and performs electrical discharge machining using the discharge generated by applying a voltage between the workpiece in the working fluid and electrodes. The electric discharge machine includes an anti-corrosion electrode installed via an insulator extending planarly on the bottom or wall of the work tank, and an anti-corrosion electrode in which an anode is connected with the anti-corrosion electrode and a cathode is connected with the workpiece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
