<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decoloring and purifying contaminated waste water containing a suspended substance and a colored organic substance. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for decoloring and purifying the organic colored contaminated water, an electrode containing iridium oxide is used for an anode, electrolytically treated water (electrolytic functional water) obtained by electrolyzing the electrolytic aqueous solution containing chloride ions is added to the organic colored contaminated water, the organic contaminated water is brought into contact with bamboo coal carrying iron oxide which is a porous material containing the iron oxide in an intermediate reaction tank of a multi-stage reaction tank, and thereby the decomposition reaction of the contaminated substance by an oxidation activating substance in the electrolytic functional water is facilitated, and at the same time, the excessive residual oxidation activating substance is decomposed and removed, and as the need arises, air is blown into the latter stage reaction tank, and liquid-passing treatment is carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
