PURPOSE: A card reader image calling apparatus and a method thereof are provided to install a security module to a camera and a video calling apparatus in a video call. CONSTITUTION: A card reader video call device(2) selects a service or reads out a card. The device transmits an intelligent network access number and a card number. The apparatus recognizes a face image of the originator received from the camera. The apparatus blocks image information which is received from the camera. The apparatus performs a video call.
