PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC chip capable of efficiently initializing a memory without affecting processing operation that an interface performs.

SOLUTION: There is provided the IC chip which has a plurality of interfaces and operates so that the respective interfaces asynchronously communicate with other communication terminals. The IC chip includes the memory which has a common area stored with common information used for operation processing of all the interfaces and dedicated areas each stored with information used only for operation processing of each interface; first detection means of detecting a start of one interface; second detection means of detecting operation states of the respective interfaces after the detected start of the interface; and initialization means of initializing the common area or a dedicated area of at least one interface according to the operation state of the interface.
