<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autofocus surveying instrument which automatically starts auto-focusing when a survey target is collimated. <P>SOLUTION: The autofocus surveying instrument has an encoder (30) for measuring an angle of a collimator (20) and autofocus means which starts auto-focusing when the angle transmitted from the encoder is constant for more than a prescribed time period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
