<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the occurrence of time-out by setting a sleep mode in an optical network unit (ONU). <P>SOLUTION: An optical line terminal (OLT) 101 detects time-out when communication between the OLT 101 and each optical network unit (ONU) 102 is stopped during a time-out period. The OLT 101 detects a sleep mode for temporarily stopping communication between the OLT 101 and the ONU 102. When the sleep mode is detected, the OLT 101 controls the detection of the time-out. Specifically, the OLT 101 controls the detection of the time-out, so as to allow the detection of the time-out to stand by during the period of the sleep mode and to detect the time-out after the termination of the sleep mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
