<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape applicator capable of handling a larger number of types of containers than conventional devices. <P>SOLUTION: An application arm 68 for applying an adhesive tape 16 on a container 10 positioned at a bridge portion between an introduction conveyor 12 and a transporting conveyor 14 is disposed on each of both right and left sides of the bridge portion. The introduction conveyor 12 is disposed so that a moving frame 22 including a terminal end moving pulley at the transportation terminal end can be horizontally moved in the transporting direction relative to a fixed frame 20. A space for securing the moving space of the application arms 68 on the container bottom surface side is defined between the transportation terminal end of the introduction conveyor 12 and the transportation start end of the transportation conveyor 14 by horizontally moving the moving frame 22 to the upstream side. Namely, the terminal end portion of the adhesive tape can be applied to the bottom surface of the container by moving the application arms 68 having applied with the start end part of the adhesive tape 16 on the upper surface of the container 10 positioned at the bridge portion through the moving space on the container bottom surface side after moving along the side surface of the container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
