<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corona discharge detection system which monitors power facilities or the like distributed over a wide area, identifies a facility generating corona discharge, and provides information for appropriately performing power facility inspection. <P>SOLUTION: The corona discharge detection system comprises: an artificial satellite 110 with an apparatus for photographing a power facility network 152 on the earth surface 150 and transmitting the photographed image via a communication line; corona discharge detection means which is capable of identifying that location in the power facility network 152 at which corona discharge has occurred, from the artificial satellite 110; and image analysis means 140 which receives the image transmitted from the artificial satellite 110 and analyzes information on the location identified by the corona discharge detection means, at which corona discharge has occurred. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
