PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing catechol derivatives is provided to effectively prevent or treat restenosis. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating hyperproliferative vascular disorders contains catechol derivative compounds as an active ingredient. The catechol derivative contains caffeic acid and ester derivative of the caffeic acid in a content ratio of 0.30-0.55. The ester derivative includes rosmarinic acid, salvianolic acid A, or mixture thereof. A non-caffeic acid derivative containing 2,3-dihydrobenzofurane contains lithospermic acid, salvianolic acid B, or mixture thereof.
