The tape has a silicone foam body (4) provided with adhesive layers (3) on two opposite longitudinal surfaces. A geometric structure increasing elastic side movement is implemented within the body or within an outer cross-section of the body. Outer corners are rounded off with respect to the cross-section of the body such that an acrylic adhesive is ended against roundness. One of narrow sides of the silicone body is provided with a sealing lip. The silicone body is provided with metallic or plastic base body profiles. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a silicone foam tape.
