The handheld power tool has a drive shaft (120) with which a balancing element (150) for imbalance compensation is arranged. The balancing element comprises imbalance ring (252) which is secured at the drive shaft and imbalanced ring (256) which is rotatably mounted on the drive shaft. The imbalance ring (252) is connected via a rotary driving element (251) with the imbalance ring (256), to allow the rotation of drive shaft with the rotary driving of imbalance ring (256) through the imbalance ring (252).
