Method and device for determining the gassing of liquid-filled high-voltage assemblies with gas collection relay

The method involves enabling volumetric determination of gas accumulation rate between a time point of a response of a lower floating contact of a gas collection relay and sample drawing. Partial volume of relay gas is transported into an equalizing tank (8), which is opened to atmosphere, by a gas-filled separating vessel (6) in case of response of the lower floating contact of the gas collection relay in connection with response of an upper floating contact of the relay. Gas collection rate is laterally distributed from registered times for computing the collection rate by transport rate. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining gassing characteristics of liquid-filled high-voltage plants with a gas collection relay.
