<p>PURPOSE: A turning head for a machine tool is provided to control upper and lower heads according to a movement of a shaft and middle shaft through moving the upper and lower heads by using a pressure of fluid. CONSTITUTION: A turning head for a machine tool comprises a supporter(100), an upper head, a lower head, a spindle(400), and a first moving unit. The shaft is installed inside of the supporter. The upper head is mounted in the supporter and rotates around a first axis. The lower head is mounted in the upper head and rotates around a second axis. The spindle rotates around a third axis with transferring power by the shaft. The first moving unit rotates the upper head around the first axis according to the rotation of the shaft. The first moving unit comprises a first gear(610), a second gear(620), and a first pressure supply unit. The first gear is installed in the outer circumference of the shaft and rotates with the shaft. The second gear is formed in the upper head and arranged in a side of the first gear. The second gear is formed in the upper head and arranged in a side of the first gear. The upper head linearly moves so that the first pressure supply unit presses the upper head to engage the first and second gears each other.</p> |
