PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing anastrozole-containing polymeric microspheres is provided to minimize waste water using less water. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cancer contains anastrozole-containing polymeric microsphere. A method for manufacturing the microsphere comprises: a step of mixing polymeric compounds, anastrozole, and water insoluble organic solvent to prepare a dispersion phase; a step of mixing the dispersion phase in dispersion solvent to prepare an emulsion; a step of adding base or acid to the emulsion to remove water insoluble organic solvent; and a step of re-dispersing the organic solvent-removed polymeric microsphere. The polymeric compounds are polylactide-co-glycolide(PLGA).
