<p>A doorway waterproofing device or flood barrier situated in front of a doorway comprises a retractable panel 2 which is stored in the underground storage chamber 5 positioned in front of a door opening. Whereby the retractable panel 2 is raised or lowered using a lifting handle 1 located in front of the trapper bar on the door frame. The panel may be manufactured from a lightweight material. The panel may be raised and lower through waterproof channels (5 Fig. 1). Clips 3 may be provided for securing the panel in the lowered position. The lifting handle 1 may create level access thus aiding disabled access through the door opening. The trapper bar may be retractable. Pistons or gas struts 6 may be used underground to aid the lifting of the panel.</p> |
