摘要 The invention relates to a story-high, preloaded wall component (1) having a rectangular cross-section and lateral surfaces (2) that correspond to the masonry (17) in which the wall component is used. The earthquake loads can be transmitted to the story ceilings by upset heads and steel disks on the tension wires (7) protruding in the element foot and head area. The required opening in the story ceiling is practically solved by means of an insert (12) that is matched to the wall component (1). The connection of the wall component (1) to the masonry (17) is accomplished via a joining construction (18), by means of which local stress concentrations in the masonry are reduced in the event of earthquake loading. Together with the masonry (17) enclosed by the wall components (1), this construction method and the components comprising this construction method form a system that makes buildings made of masonry suitable for earthquakes.
