A beverage pot infusion device is comprised of a basket 21 and side arm 23; arm 23 may be integrally formed into the infusion device. A pot handle engaging member on the arm allows for engagement with the handle 3 of a beverage pot (Fig.1,1). The engaging member may be adapted to provide for location fit, tight fit or push fit engagement with the handle 3. In use the handle engaging member may comprise two side wings which abut their respective sides of the handle 3 and securely engage arm 23 and handle 3. The pot handle engagement member may be pivotally connected a lid 30 (Fig.1,1). For ease of cleaning, in use the infuser and its integral lid 30 which form a lid for the pot is removable by disengaging the arm 23 from the handle 3. The lid may have a lever to open and/or close the lid and the ability to stack pots may be achieved through the profile of the bottom and the top of the pot (Fig.1,1).
