<p>Novel compounds of the formula <FORM:1124973/C2/1> wherein A, R2, R8, R4, R5, R3 and R13 are as defined in Specification 1,124,972, and M is amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, alkenylamino, aralkylamino, N - alkyl - N - aralkylamino, anilino, haloanilino, alkoxyanilino, piperidino, pyrrolidino, morpholino, alkylpiperazinyl, N-phenyl - piperazino, 1 - (b - hydroxyethyl)-piperazino, N - [b - (N - alkyl - pyrrolidino)]-N - alkyl - amino, N - [b - (N - alkyl - piperidino)] - N - alkyl - amino, tetrahydrofurfurylamino, N - carbobenzyloxy - N - alkyl - amino, 1,2,5,6 - tetrahydropyridino, D - glycosylamino, N - (N1,N1 - dialkylcarboxamido)-N - methylamino, N - methyl - 3 - aminopiperidino, N - methyl - 3 - amino - pyrrolidino, b - ethoxyethylamino or di - (b -ethoxyethyl)-amino, and acid-addition salts thereof are prepared from the corresponding free acids (via their halides) and the appropriate amines, or by methods analogous to those described in Specification 1,124,972, for the preparation of the free acids. On reaction with nitrous acid the amides are reconverted to the free acids. The indole derivatives of the invention, which are stated to be anti-inflammatory agents, may be incorporated in pharmaceutical compositions for oral administration.</p> |
