PURPOSE: A light emitting device and a light emitting device package are provided to increase the extraction efficiency of light emitted from an active layer to a second conductive semiconductor layer by forming a conductive layer on a second conductive semiconductor layer. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting structure(120) is arranged on a substrate(110). The light emitting structure comprises a first conductive semiconductor layer(122), an active layer(124), and a second conductive semiconductor layer(126). The active layer comprises a first barrier layer(QB1), a well layer(QW), and a second barrier layer(QB2). A conductive layer(130) is formed on the second conductive semiconductor layer. A first electrode(142) is formed on the first conductive semiconductor layer exposed by etching. |
