PURPOSE: An automated teller machine is provided to prevent illegal transactions based on a normal user face detection technique. CONSTITUTION: An automated teller machine comprises a card reader part, a central processor(20), a camera(30), a face recognition part(40), and an alarm part(50). The card reader part outputs user information by reading the user information from an inserted card. The camera part records a user. The face recognition part extracts a face region of an image recorded from the camera part. The face recognition part outputs a first signal when a normal user face is detected and a second signal when an abnormal user face is detected. The central processor confirms a password and the user information of the card reader part when the first signal is received. The alarm part outputs a message for removing a face covering material when a second signal is received. |
