The object of the invention is a method for managing a storage water heater aimed at reducing thermal dispersions. The method provides for the use of the one or more active periods (PA n ) at reduced rates, scheduled during a day, for managing the water maintenance temperature in a generic electrical water heater. The method uses very simplified logical processes of the microprocessor for measuring and processing the data typical of the storage water heater during said one or more active periods (PA n ).
