The apparatus has a cross-sectional change (6) provided in a line system between a pump (4) and a lubricant supply location (3). A lubricant pressure is used as actuation pressure (p2) in the cross-sectional change, where the lubricant pressure is used as another actuation pressure (p3) between the pump and the lubricant supply location or before the cross-sectional change. The cross-sectional change is defined as cross-section magnification or a reduction of cross-section. The pump is selected from one of pendulum slider pump, vane pump or external gear pump.
