Fastening arrangement for mounting a decorative panel on a vehicle door

A fastening arrangement 1 for mounting a decorative panel 6 on a vehicle door comprising a frame profile 3 forming an opening 26 for a side window of the vehicle door on which the decorative panel for covering said profile is mounted. Mounting is by means of at least one fastening means 17, 18. Said fastening means 17, 18 comprises an elongate fastening piece 17 passing through an opening 27 in the frame profile 3 and a fastening to counterpiece 18 connected to the fastening piece. The fastening counterpiece 18 is connected to the decorative panel 6. The elongate fastening piece 17 extends perpendicular to a door plane and can be connected to the fastening counterpiece 18 from a door inner side. Optionally the decorative panel 6 has a pane guide 10 for receiving a lateral pane edge of a vehicle side window.
