[Also in Division G6] A seal between, for example, a plug 11 and a standpipe 10 of a gas-cooled nuclear reactor comprises a resilient sealing ring 13 of T-shaped cross-section which is arranged to fit loosely within a peripheral groove 12 in the plug of T-shaped cross-section and be compressed by fluid pressure against one side 14 of the groove and outwardly against the wall of the standpipe.
