The mechanism (1) has a housing comprising an inlet (4) and an outlet (5), and a drive shaft (2) comprising a parabolic screw (3), which rotates the drive shaft. The screw is closed at an inner surface of the housing. Medium to be accelerated is arrived at the inlet of the drive mechanism and accelerated by the drive shaft. The medium is left as uniform and accelerated current at the outlet of the drive mechanism. The mechanism is mounted at a hull of a ship, and a blister is sucked in by the inlet.
