<p>Polymer (I) having an ether containing carbinol group (II) at the end of the polymeric chain, is new. Polymer (I) having an ether containing carbinol group of formula (-O-A-OH) (II) at the end of the polymeric chain, is new.A = a divalent organic residue, in addition to C and H, further containing heteroatoms such as O, N, S or Si. Independent claims are included for: (1) for the preparation of (I); and (2) a vulcanizable rubber composition comprising (I) with end group (II) or a metal salt of formula ((-O-A-O ->) nM(n +>)) (III). M : a metal or semimetal with a valecny of 1-4, preferably Li, Na, K, Mg, Ca, Fe, Co, Ni, Al, Nd, Ti, Si or Sn; and n : 1-4.</p> |
