PURPOSE: A crash box for a vehicle is provided to improve shock absorbing performance by dispersing shock energy in multiple stages using friction units. CONSTITUTION: A crash box for a vehicle comprises an inner body(10), an outer body(20), and multiple friction units(30). The inner body comprises a front bracket(11) and one or more guide slots(13). The front bracket is connected to a bumper beam. The guide slots are formed on the top and bottom surfaces of the inner body in a longitudinal direction. The inner body is inserted into the outer body. The outer body has a rear bracket(21) and one or more mounting holes. The rear bracket is connected to a side member. The mounting holes are formed on both surfaces of the outer body. The friction units are installed in the mounting holes and supply frictional force to the inner body slid into the outer body.
