A portable terminal is provided to prevent a voltage due to a data signal inputted from a data cable from being induced prior to external power required for a booting operation of the terminal, when the terminal is booted. A buffer unit(11) stores a data signal inputted through a transceiver(20), and outputs the data signal. A controller(14) inputs the data signal to process the signal, and inputs booting power of a portable terminal(10) to control the overall operation in accordance with booting. A camera unit(12) is applied with operating power in connection with the controller(14) by an I2C, and performs a camera function. A power supply IC(Integrated Circuit)(13) is branched from the I2C to connect with the controller(14), and inputs external power from a data cable to supply the booting power.
