#CMT# #/CMT# The dot (20) has two sets of cuts (28, 30, 32) provided on three parallel lines. One of the parallel lines coincides with a theoretical folding line. Other two parallel lines are arranged at equal distance from the theoretical folding line. The sets of the cuts are arranged along an axis passing through the theoretical folding line proximal to an outer edge of the dot. A central cut line coincides with the theoretical folding line. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Round shaped tape dot for use on an unrolling support strip (claimed) for a tabbing machine to seal a folded material i.e. brochure. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The two sets of cuts are provided on the three parallel lines, where one of the parallel lines coincides with the theoretical folding line, thus correctly placing the dot above the edge forming the open end of the folded material, without the use of costly and complex positioning unit, and hence allowing the realization of the dot in a cost-effective manner, sealing the folded material and facilitating manual opening of the folded material with a paper knife. The utilization of the cuts allows tolerance in the implementation of the dot, without compromising robustness. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a schematic sectional view of a support strip of a tape dot. 18 : Unrolling support strip 18A : Perforations 20 : Tape dot 28, 30, 32 : Cuts 34 : Central opening.
|
