PURPOSE: An ionizing water purifier and a method for controlling the concentration of hydrogen ions for the same are provided to constantly keep the pH value of an electrolytic cell by varying the duty of a pulse-width-modulation(PWM) voltage source. CONSTITUTION: An electrolytic cell(152) electrolyzes feed water. A PWM voltage source feeds voltages to the electrolytic cell. A flux sensor(142) detects the flux of the water into the electrolytic cell. A temperature sensor detects the temperature of the electrolytic cell. The current sensor detects the current of the electrolytic cell. A controlling part outputs a controlling signal in order to vary the PWM voltages of the PWM voltage source according to the detected flux, temperature, and current from the flux sensor, the temperature sensor, and the current sensor.
