PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a polarizer is provided to improve display quality by preventing dye spots. CONSTITUTION: A polyvinyl alcohol film is expanded. The expanded polyvinyl alcohol based film is dyed with iodine. The dyed polyvinyl alcohol film is cross-linked. The cross-linked polyvinyl alcohol based film is washed in washing solutions. The washed polyvinyl alcohol film is dried.
