PURPOSE: A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to control a display color by combining the output of an interference modulator of each color. CONSTITUTION: An interference modulator(12) has a material layer(102). The material layer selectively transmits light of a specific color. A substrate(20) is interposed between the material layer and the interference modulator. The material layer includes a magenta filter. A green interference modulator is observed through the magenta filter.
