HYDROPHOBIC LAYER HAVING NANOPARTICLES AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A hydrophobic layer having nano-particles and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to remarkably increase water repellency by pattern size of hierarchy structure. CONSTITUTION: A hydrophobic layer comprises a base layer(10) equipped with concavo-convex patterns(10a,10b) and nano particles(20) arranged on the concavo-convex pattern. The concavo-convex pattern has convex portions(10a) and concave portions(10b) which are determined by the convex portions. The nano particles are either spherical nano-particles or one-dimensional nano particles. The one-dimensional nano-particles are formed in a network structure. The one-dimensional nano-particles are perpendicularly formed on surface of the concavo-convex pattern. The surfaces of the nano-particles are hydrophobic.
