A SEWAGE OR WASTEWATER TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD USING PHOSPHORUS COLLECTION AND RECYCLING COAGULANT

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for treating sewage and wastewater are provided to reduce the generating amount of chemical sludge containing metallic ions by re-using eluted phosphorus and coagulant. CONSTITUTION: Pre-treated water in a biological reactor and a settling basin is introduced into a coagulation reactor(S10). Coagulant is introduced into the coagulation reactor to coagulate phosphorus contained in the treated water to obtain solid materials(S20). The reacted water of the coagulation reactor is introduced into a solid-liquid separator in order to separate and discharge the solid materials. Overlying water is discharged(S30). The solid materials are introduced into a phosphorus eluting bath. An eluting material is introduced into the phosphorus eluting bath to separate coagulant and phosphorus and precipitates the solid materials(S40). Eluted water is introduced from the phosphorus eluting bath to a phosphorus crystallizing bath. A crystallizing material is introduced into the phosphorus crystallizing bath to crystallize phosphorus. The crystallized phosphorus is collected(S50).
