CALIBRATION APPARATUS AND METHOD BETWEEN HETEROGENEOUS CAMERAS USING PLANE AREA

PURPOSE: A calibration method between the different kinds of camera using a plane area and a device thereof are provided to apply the planar calibration method to a ToF(Time of Flight) depth camera to which a point correction method is hard to apply. CONSTITUTION: A plane area matching unit(180) generates a conversion matrix to match a depth plane area extracted from a depth image with a color plane are extracted from a color image. A calibration unit(190) performs the calibration between a depth camera(110) generating the depth image and a color camera(120) generating the color image by using a generated transformation matrix.
