PURPOSE: A step link assembling method is provided to prevent field claim and handling cost due to defective product by preventing assembly fault through preventing the twist of a clamp ring. CONSTITUTION: A step link assembling method is as follows. A bearing and a ball stud are assembled temporarily(S10). Temporarily assembled bearing and ball stud is assembled in a case(S20). A first cone is coupled with the ball stud(S30). A roller covered with grease is passed through the first cone and the grease is spread(S40). A dust cover is inserted to the first cone for temporary assembly(S50). A second cone is coupled with the first cone. A clamp ring is pressed and inserted into the lower part of the dust cover by using the second cone and the clamp ring fastens the lower part of the dust cover(S60, S70). And then the second cone is eliminated(S80). The upper part of the dust cover is positioned by the first cone(S90). An O-ring is pressed and inserted into the upper part of the dust cover by using the first cone and the O-ring fastens the upper part of the dust cover(S100). The step link is extracted from an assembling device and inspected finally(S110, S120).
