POWER FACTOR CORRECTION CIRCUIT AND POWER SUPPLY HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A power factor improving circuit and a power supply device including the same are provided to prevent a noise of an EMI filter due to the block of a PWM pulse by controlling an output voltage before an over voltage state. CONSTITUTION: An EMI filter(102) removes a noise from an AC input signal which is inputted to a power supply device(100). A rectification circuit(104) converts the AC input signal into a DC signal by rectifying the AC input signal. A power factor improving circuit(106) includes a controller chip(108), a converter(110), a voltage dividing circuit(112), and a voltage control circuit(114). The controller chip outputs a gate driving signal through a GDA terminal and a GDB terminal. The converter includes an energy storage unit which changes the level of an output voltage by using the stored energy.
