PURPOSE: An impurity treating apparatus including a wedge-shaped bar screen for treating fine impurities is provided to cost-effectively purify sewage and wastewater by treating sewage and wastewater after treating fine impurities. CONSTITUTION: An impurity treating apparatus includes a first treating part(2), a horizontal cyclone type second treating part(3), and a third treating part(4). A fourth treating part treats fine suspended impurities of 6mm or less from sewage and wastewater which is supplied from the fine suspended material discharging pipe(33) of the second treating part and the outlet of the third treating part. A treating bath is arranged at the fourth treating part equipped with a sewage and wastewater outlet in order to collect the sewage and wastewater. A pair of facing supporting frames with inclined screens is installed at the inner side of the treating bath. A pair of caterpillar-rotating chains is supported by the supporting frames. Rakes are regularly fixed to the chains and move. A screw press compressing and discharging fine impurities discharged by the rakes is installed at the upper lower side of a screen.
