摘要 PURPOSE: An autonomous driving apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to control a traveling route and accurately detect a posture by combining data from a camera and an infrared sensor bar. CONSTITUTION: A main body(10) comprises a plurality of wheels(50) and a driving part. The driving part operates the wheels. A camera(20) acquires an image of a traveling route(L). A motor(21) rotates the camera. First and second infrared sensor bars(31,32) are respectively installed on the front side and the rear side of the main body. A controller controls the operation of the wheels. A regional location sensor is comprised of an encoder(41) and a gyrocompass(42). The encoder measures the rotation of the wheel. The gyrocompass measures angular velocity.
