PURPOSE: A calorific value control method for an electric cooker is provided to change a heat insulation algorithm for controlling a heater for heating an inner pot such that rice contained in the inner pot is kept warm. CONSTITUTION: A calorific value control method for an electric cooker includes the following steps. A upper temperature of an inner pot and a lower temperature of the inner pot are measured. A top heater(31), a side heater(22) and a bottom heater(23) respectively arranged on the top, side and bottom of the inner pot are heated using the measurement result so as to keep a heated object contained in the inner pot warm.
