PURPOSE: A non-specific elongation method for base sequences of a target polynucleotide is provided to non-specifically elongate and amplify the base sequences. CONSTITUTION: A non-specific elongation method for base sequences of a target polynucleotide comprises: a step of preparing a modified first primer having a first nonhomologous base sequences which is not complementarily hybridizable with the target polynucleotide; a step of preparing a modified second primer having seconds nonhomologous base sequences which is reverse-complementary to the first nonhomologous base sequence of the modified first primer; a step of adding the first nonhomologous base sequences to the end of the target polynucleotide to prepare an elongated target polynucleotide; and a step of adding the second nonhomologous base sequences to the end of the target nucleotide to prepare a elongated polynucleotide.
