PURPOSE: A shape memory alloy collet chuck is provided to clamp and unclamp tools of various diameters by expanding or contracting a tool holding hole of a collet through axial extension and contraction of a shape memory alloy holder. CONSTITUTION: A shape memory alloy collet chuck comprises a rotary shaft(10), a collet(20), and a cup-shaped memory alloy holder(30). A cone-shaped groove(11) is formed on an end of the rotary shaft in the axial direction. The collet is inserted into groove. The memory alloy holder surrounds the outer end of the rotary shaft. A through hole is formed on the lower end of the shape memory alloy holder.
