PURPOSE: A method for displaying a video of an image display device is provided to supply optimal screen size according to the resolution of a video. CONSTITUTION: A controlling unit analyzes resolution of a selected video(S720). The controlling unit calculates an optimal screen size of a selected video according to analyzed resolution(S730). The controlling unit displays a message for guiding the optimal screen size in case a reproduction command of a selected video is received(S740,S760).
