PURPOSE: An electrical control unit coping with a fault caused by low voltage of a main battery and a driving method thereof are provided to drive an electric controller in spite of a low voltage state by using voltage of a sub battery. CONSTITUTION: An electrical control unit coping with a fault caused by low voltage of a main battery comprises a controller(11), a switch element(12), and a capacitor(13). The controller controls of the drive of the motor. The switch element is electrically connected between the main battery and controller. The switch element transfers the voltage of the main battery using the controller. If the main battery is under a reference low voltage, the switch element is electrically connected to a sub battery(SB). The switch element transfers the voltage of the sub battery to the controller. The capacitor is electrically connected between the switch element and controller. The capacitor stores the voltage applied through the switch element to controller. |
