PURPOSE: An elevator system having a fire extinguishing function is provided to enable a user to suppress fire after opening an elevator door. CONSTITUTION: An elevator system having a fire extinguishing function is as follows. A high pressure water pipe(4) is vertically installed inside an elevation path of a building. A connecting door(3) is installed in the back panel of an elevator(1). When fire occurs, a fire-fighter carries a portable fire hose(5) and connects the fire hose to the outside of the connecting door.
