The sensor has an embarked part (20) comprising a mobile contactor (21) passing between two states based on whether a target (22) is closer to or far away from the contactor. An emitter (23) is associated to the contactor, and emits or does not emit an electromagnetic signal (24) based on the states of the contactor. An electric energy source i.e. battery cell, supplies energy to the emitter. A distant part comprises a receiver (30) to receive the electromagnetic signal and generate a signal with two states based on whether the receiver receives or does not receive the electromagnetic signal. The electromagnetic signal is a radio signal, UV signal or infrared signal.
